In 1993 while working for another company, President and CEO, Earl Carlow met with Holly Herman, Beth Shelley and Trisha Jenkins, three prominent physical therapists in the field of Women’s Health. It was during this meeting that Earl learned of a new use for sEMG; pelvic muscle dysfunction. Prior to the meeting, he thought sEMG was used primarily for orthopedics. Two years later, Current Medical Technologies was formed to fill an underdeveloped niche in the Pelvic Muscle Rehabilitation industry. Nearly twenty years later, CMT continues to be dedicated to the advancement of non-invasive therapies for people with bowel and bladder dysfunction.
